Coming Soon: Dacula City Core
(Posted on May 27, 2025)
The Mayor and City Council have been working diligently over the past several years to fulfill a shared community vision: a vibrant, central gathering place that Dacula residents can truly call their own. A place for families, friends, and neighbors to connect, celebrate, and enjoy the heart of their city.
After extensive planning and preparation, the City of Dacula will kick off construction on the City Core Project June 2025. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027 – and we can’t wait to see it come to life!
This transformative project will include:
- An open-air amphitheater for events and performances;
- A multifunctional greenspace for recreation and community use;
- A new municipal complex; and
- Expanded public parking facilities for easy access.
These exciting new facilities will be located directly across from Dacula City Hall (442 Harbins Road) and Maple Creek Park (425 McMillan Road) — bringing new life to the center of our city.
We understand construction can be an inconvenience, and we are committed to minimizing disruptions. Work will primarily take place Monday through Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The City is committed to completing this landmark project as efficiently and smoothly as possible, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and support as we build a stronger, more vibrant Dacula together.
