List of Acceptable Recycling Materials

Recyclable Materials

Please do not place unacceptable items in your recycling bin or “bag” your recycling with plastic or garbage bags. If the City deems your items unacceptable, all excluded waste could remain in your bin and the disposal would become your responsibility.

Oil and toxic materials will not be accepted as part of curbside pickup. Residents can recycle these materials at a number of facilities within Gwinnett County.  The following link provides a list of businesses that accept a variety of oil, toxic, and hazardous materials.

Recycle Schedule

All recycling must be placed at the end of your driveway or in the approved area near your curb prior to 7:00 a.m. on Friday morning. The recycle pickup schedule for 2023 is below. Note: Holiday scheduling may affect your pick-up day. Click here for the 2024 Holiday Schedule.

Obtaining a Recycle Bin

Each home is allowed one (1) 95-gallon recycle bin free of charge. If you do not have a bin or if you have multiple smaller bins, (i.e. 18 or 37 gallons) please contact City Hall to exchange them for the 95-gallon bin, free of charge, or click the button below to make a request.
